Where can I find mirrors that have the turn signals built in?

My bike was set up for the track by the previous owner and there are no turn signals in the front. I purchased a pair from a dealer here in town but they just dont look right on the bike. They look just like this pair but they are carbon fiber rather than chrome. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LED-CHROME-TURN-SIGNAL-COOL-SMALL-GSXR-R1-CBR-636-NEW_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35580QQitemZ4624701872QQrdZ1 I just dont like the way they look. I think I would prefer installing new mirrors that have the signals built in. Do any of you have a pair like this or know of where I can find a set? I only saw one pair on ebay and I wanted to see if I could find them cheaper. I have a 01 f4i Thanks, Jim

IDK of any aftermarket ones. You might try to make some VFR or New GSXR 1000 mirrors fit. :luck:

You cant hardily see them at all in the daylight but at night there are ok.

It all depends on how it bolts thru the fairing... go to your local Suzuki dealer and look at one on the showroom floor!

Here is a 05 06 Gixxer 1000 mirror with a tented lens. http://i18.ebayimg.com/02/i/05/82/22/e5_2.JPG I don't know if they are a direct bolt on and I do know that the wiring will have to be spliced but it could easily be made to work if that what you want.

I think the later model CBR1100 Blackbird had signals in the mirrors, and they might bolt on.

keep in mind that if you do get these to fit (which they are not a direct bolt up) you will most likely need to get a relay for them so they don't blink rapidly fast and then blow the bulb. just something to think about.

Your referring to the LED blinkers right. The Blackbird and Gixxer mirrors are standard bulbs and wouldn't need a resistor.

The Blackbird and Gixxer mirrors are standard bulbs and wouldn't need a resistor. no, i'm referring to regular bulbs. LED's draw much less current than standard bulbs. if he is going to use standard bulbs (i.e. stock turn signals) and run bulbs in your mirrors, you will definately need a relay for it or they will blow. plus unless you get a 3wire signal (most stock turn signals are 3 wire) they will flash rapidly fast.

The Honda came with three wire signals and standard bulbs. It'll be fine. Most LED signals need resistors to slow down the blink due to lack of draw on voltage.

i don't need resistors on my led's and they blink at regular speed. i had problems with regular bulbs in my fairings blinking hella fast with no relay.

I checked them out and all I could find are the same universal ones that I found on ebay. I am starting to think they just dont make them. I wonder why? Wouldnt these be popular? I may just attempt putting leds in my stock mirrors.

Has anyone tried to fit mirrors from a Suzuki onto a F4i? I am going to check out the GSXR 1000 turn signal mirrors at a local dealership when I get out of work today. I am going to see if I can get them to fit onto my F4i. It would be too good to be true if they would bolt right up. So I might have a machine shop make some kind of adaptors to make them work. Jim

Yeah I think knowing how your bike mirror mounts... and looking at the new GSXR one will answer your question better than anything else!

Ha ha, you cant put anything past you guys :D I just thought I should post the wtb in the correct forum thats all. No unfortunetly they do not bolt right up but they are close. So I figured if someone had a pair I would buy them and try to make them work. I cant belive no one has done this yet. I guess Ill be the guinea and see if it can be done. I still havent ruled out installing leds into my stock mirrors though. I dont know how I am going to get the mirror out of the plastic with out breaking it. Ill keep you updated.

I had these LED turns... but can't help with ya a mirror/blinker combo. LIie somebody else said... get a set of the new GSXR 1000 mirrors. I'm wondering how hard it would be to get a set of LED indicators like the ones Chris is showing, and transplant them into your existing mirrors. Cut a section off the back of your mirror cowling, and make a mount for the LED's, utilising the existing electronics. You could even just drill holes on your mirror cowl for individual LED's. This would let you shape them however you wanted! Just get some advice to make sure it's legal!!, and if you do take the cases off the LED turns, make sure they're waterproofed afterwards!

Just get some advice to make sure it's legal!!, and if you do take the cases off the LED turns, make sure they're waterproofed afterwards! I thought of mounting LED's into the original mirrors but I couldnt find just the right led's. They would have to be super bright led's to be seen in full daylight. They would also have to be the "snap in" style because there is no way to take the mirror out and bottom mount them. Then you would have to deal with wiring them up correctly. After all that they wouldnt be DOT approved. So you could run into trouble getting inspected. I also thought about drilling into the flaring just below the mirror and above the lights and installing led's but I didnt want to have the holes in a perfect body panel. So I went with the GSX-R mirrors. It worked out just as I had hoped. I am very happy with them. If someone can tell me how to post pics Ill put some up tomorrow.

Jimbo69ny, For the mounting holes can you measue the distance between centers on the GSXR mirrors, or the ones you took off? Intersted in knowing if I would need to fabricate anything to get them on my F3. Thanks, Carl:cheers:

I dont know for sure but the design that I made for my f4i might work on your F3. Do you know if you can use mirrors off an F4i on your F3? If there is enough interest I may do a group buy on the adaptors.
