New TV show in development needs female riders!

No, no, it's not just for ladies in SoCal... they're holding AUDUTIONS in SoCal, but you can email them with a bit about you, and pics, no matter where you are. It's not at all cruisers-only! Shoot, I wrote to them, as did about a half dozen girls I know from other forums!!! :dthumb:

:yikes: Guess what? I heard back from the Exec Producer!! She's sending me a questionnaire, and asked me for a tape of myself, and on my bike. OMG!! I'm so excited!! It's still very preliminary, but still -- they wrote back!! Anyone have any pointers/ideas for the tape? I have no idea what to do or say! YAY!! Wish me luck!! :cheers:

I'm getting a mixture of advice. Some people are insisting play up the hot chick thing.. which just isn't me. *shrug* Others are saying go with the drama-queen aspect -- also not me. :lol: But another friend who did a tape for "Amazing Race," and also did a tape for friends who got on "Fear factor: Couples" had way different advice... he suggested going with playing up strengths -- what attributes do I (or you) have that would help the team reach the goal. So I think I'll go with that angle (with a hint of cleavage... :lol: )

Congrats!! I really hope that both of you are chosen! The only thing that I suggest for either of you, is be yourself... Don't play the sexy diva or the Billy Bad Ass. The populous needs to view women that ride for what it is, because you LOVE the sport. If you act differently they'll get the wrong idea and most ppl will view it as we women ride so we can be like the boys or because we crave attention from the guys. And I honestly hope that those are in no way the reason why you chose this sport. Again, good luck and congrats! :cheers:

I also think since this is in development for a "major women's network" (think Lifetime or WE), they won't be playing up the sexy/bimbo aspect that gets popularized in most reality shows. And I agree -- you should submit yourself as well!! :cheers:
