Does anybody know if any of the full adjustable Showa forks (from a S2R or S4R) will fit my 96 M900 with or w/out changing the tree?

Because I don't want to switch to clip-ons for this bike. JK_DILLA 04-05-2006, 10:59 AM Honda loves Showa, whats the specs on your Duc forks? jeeps84 04-05-2006, 10:46 PM I haven't checked the dimensions yet. I think they are smaller than the new stuff tho. I got to rip around on a S4R this past weekend and till then, I hadn't even realized how dated the suspension on my bike is. JK_DILLA 04-08-2006, 10:55 AM jeeps, i dont know which 900 your bike is like, i couldnt find specific specs for a '96 so here are some similar years & specs on 900's and the S2 & S4.
93 M900-Showa inverted type, adjustable, 41 mm stanchions, 120 mm wheel travel
97 M900S-43mm Inverted forks, fully adjustable
2000 M900ie- Showa 43mm upside-down fully adjustable fork. 130mm front wheal travel
S2R- Marzocchi 43 mm upside-down fork, 130mm wheel travel.
S4R-Showa upside-down fully adjustable 43 mm fork. 130mm wheel travel jeeps84 04-08-2006, 11:00 AM I found the cheaper/simpler alternative. I just need to get the race kit for my forks and wallaa. Possibly but, Showa has a drop in kit with new tops and all. IDK what else is even available cause I have even checked yet. JK_DILLA 04-08-2006, 04:41 PM Possibly but, Showa has a drop in kit with new tops and all. IDK what else is even available cause I have even checked yet.
i dont think ohlins has anything for your monster. I went on ohlins.com and ran your bike and came up with no fork possibilities. jeeps84 04-09-2006, 02:49 AM i dont think ohlins has anything for your monster. I went on ohlins.com and ran your bike and came up with no fork possibilities.
You have spent more time than I have on the subject. THX!:dthumb:
Its a defiant future upgrade. Just not a priority. Gas Man 04-09-2006, 11:10 AM Showa would be my second choice! jeeps84 04-10-2006, 01:05 AM Showa would be my second choice!
