Engine Swap

Ok so iv been doing alot of dimension checking. And I was looking into swapin and 2002 ZX9R motor into my bike (mine being the '02 6R). Now from what I have read and what I have found the dimensions are all the same, a few differnt like seat height but its only off like half an inch which i think may be due to conversion from metric. But I think they are the same frame, the only different I have found is the rear sway arm has extra bracing. I didnt know if anyone knew for sure or knew someone who does. And if you have anywhere paticular to find a '98-'02 9R motor otherwise is Ebay or salvage yard time... Thanks!!

The first thing to check is if the part numbers are the same for both frames.

Yeah you can use the Kawasaki website to check part numbers.... but it sure looks like it would swap in...

Only similar parts on the frame are the steering head bearing and parts, other than that the frames are diffrent. Engine mounting studs arent close at all.

Well not if the frames are differnt. Cuz that one had a busted arse frame and was bent up and was about as straight as a door knob. So whats the purpose of a 9R motor if It wont fit in my bike. Anyway I may just save a bit then sell my bike and get a new 10R. They catch my eye ALOT!
