Hi everyone, Well This is a really nice site I must say first off... Ok here I go.. Well my first bike was a Harley I had it for about 6 months just sold it 3 weeks ago and bought a 97' Ninja 750 zx7r It had 9500 miles when i bought it with a full Muzzy exhaust jet kit mod front forks and a few other things bike has never been laid down or raced so the ower said  He was 40 yrs old and a cop so i took his word lol.. The bike is in great shape I think.. 1000 miles on tires has 2 minor nicks i got it for 4000.00 good deal or no?? Ok here is a question for some reason it seems when i really get on it when i go to shift for 1st to 2nd I cannot get a smooth clean shift every now and then i do but the rest of gears go really smooth is this maybe the clutch needs adjusted or replaced?? or is this normal?? It goes into the gear everytime but just doesnt seem real smooth to me?? And i want to get it right before i tear up something.. Don't kill me to bad with the replys :bonk: ty mike (oh yea that is it in my avatar)

What do you mean by a not a smooth shift?? Is it hard to get into second or does it go right in hard and seem to kind of pop into second gear?? :welcome: :twfrox:

The guys told me he changed the oil every 1000 miles with motul and it was just changed 600 miles ago the oil looks brand new.. When i say it shifts rough its like I cant get it to like slide right into 2nd I get a little vibration before it goes in.... does this make sense???

First :welcome: Second, its Kawasaki's postive placement nuetral. Think about it... nuetral is between 1 & 2...obviously... Not too mention, Kaws are known for having clunky trannies. But you should be use to that if you had a harley. No offense.

Vibration? Like its doesn't want to go? Worst case scenario, It needs new shift forks and or second gear. Its kind'of normal.

Hey guys just a update.. I took my bike by the local dealer here I know the service manager there pretty good.. and I asked him to take it for a ride he told me he thinks i need to lower the shifter that maybe i'm not getting af ull shift... He said he feels nothing wrong with it.. Well maybe I over reacted a little i dunno.... Did meet a city bike cop there talked to him for a hr or so might pay in the future...lol:wink: take care mike
