I'm looking to buy a 2003 CBR 600RR 5900 miles. Has a corbin seat, second look tank skin, fender eliminator, micron red carbon fiber slip on, painted rear tire hugger to match bike, gauges done by bluegauges.com The guy is asking 6K!!!! Way too much for a used bike with this amout of mileage on it. What would be a reasonable offer? -Craig

NADA (http://www.nadaguides.com/Values/ValueReport.asp?UserID=5119a358-29ec-4fe0-9a76-ff3ce1ea1ebc&DID=38828&Type=MC&GCode=MC&wPg=1107&wSec=3&Letter=H&Com=0102&Year=2003&Model=1200005239) lists it from $4400 - $5800 I'd offer $5K and negotiate to someplace in the middle.

But he is waiting to see what the market has to offer. I've seen deals on other forum sites for ranging from 5100-5500. The mods are listed above, but like any bike the mods you put on doesn't always mean you'll get that money back. Anyone see any killer deals on CBR's? -Craig

If he wont deal. Walk away.:2cents: He may not be able to sell any less or just not willing to take any loss.

I disagree with y'all...99birdv6 has an '03 RR with less than 6000 miles on it and it is worth more than 6 K...Just because he won't give his bike away, doesn't make him an ass...y'all are out of line here...

My local dealer has new 06' RR's for $7895. MSRP is $8999. For $5795, he has a new 04' Hornet or new 03' Superhawk. And he's always finding deals in the warehouse. So look around.

Maybe and maybe. Sticking w/ yAMAHA though. I might just refinance too. yeah I like the yams, but I hope the price goes down on the R6 when I am ready to purchase my next ride. That's an awful lot to spend on a 6. Hell you can get a good deal on a liter for the same price as that 6.

If it was me. and I could afford it, I'd be all over the R1. I'd give it a while. Some 06's will start popping up for sale used. the thing that i don't like is that you have to remove the shift linkage just to get the oil filter out. there's no other way to get it out either.

Even if it costs a little bit, get it done, it may be worth it! Our 600 seemed in perfect condition but as my hubby was riding it it threw a rod and now we are having to replace the whole *%$#@^&:cens: *%$#@# effing engine...if we just fixed it we were looking at at least 2000.00 with all parts and labor, so instead we bought a new engine (1600.00) see other other thread in maint. section, should have it Thursday, dropping it in Friday!!! And EVERYONE says this shouldnt have happened to a bike this new, and that the first owner prob treated it like dog poo for this to occur...go figure...lesson learned...
