Carlisle 2006

Alright guys. Time to start talking about Carlisle again. This is what brought me to this forum in the first place. Is there going to be a TWF presence again? I've only met one person from this forum (R1UPon1). Time to put faces to some names. Who's going and who wants to do a group ride?

i'll be there for sure, but probably on friday though. i work every weekend (in fact, that's the only time i work). so i don't know if i'll get to meet ya or not. i didn't get the chance to meet anyone last year.

You know I will be there for sure, and probably feature my bike under the 2WT magazine tent again in which I may have an entire new custom paint job on the R1 by then. I will also probably host most of the event pictures again this year. I haven't heard anything about 2WT making it out yet this year. Just to post up the dates on the Carlisle Bike Fest 2006 it will be held July 21-23rd. I hope to meet a lot more of you out there this year! I met a few others last year, but not enough of you.

Quite frankly I don't know if some of these cruisers will do that speed.

i might actually be going to carlisle on sat. this year for once. i am gonna be on vacation in colorado next week until friday. we usually go up on friday, but i won't be in until after 2pm. my hubby said about leaving at noon to go on saturday instead. i am all about that! maybe i'll get to meet you fellas for once. y'all should know what i look like from the contest. but how's about some pics of you fellas so i know who i am looking for. especially you, marko. or maybe we could all convene somewhere at a specific time or something. i'd hate to walk right by you guys and not even know it was you.

It leaked several miles from my house. I did a road side repair and kept rolling. But my buddy had to keep an eye on my tire the whole ride. It sucked. I couldn't ride too hard cuz it was leaking slow. Last year... 10 minutes into the ride. We are cruising up 322 in HBG. I lost my oil drain plug at 70mph. Luckily the 3 guys behind me where getting covered in oil and had me pull off the road BEFORE the engine seized. I waited along side the road for 3 hours till someone could come pick me up...then DROVE to the show.

Proper torque of drain plug and I'll be set. Brakes have been bled. I just have my buddy ride behind me to alert me of any 92 GSXR troubles.

That blows, dude. Be safe, yo! I won't be playing too hard in the rain! Honestly this will be the first time I've ever rode the R1 in the rain I think. I've rode many many many miles on the SV in the rain tho.
