I'm guessing it's one of those "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" prices.

I read somewhere it was in the $60K range.

i always said if Ducati or Aprilia made a 4 cylinder bike id be in love... and i am... I said id by one too... but well screw that for 60K ill pimp a Zx10R and still have money for a economy car to boot!

and yeah if it becomes Superbike legal... its gonna be a BEAST... im still surprised of the Steel frame though

id imagine with superbike work to it its a 220HP bike and taking all other brands by at least 10HP... itll really run the strights.

youre in luck, Aprilia is supposed to have a V4 out in 08(?). If this bike is Superbike/ Superstock legal, then do you think the other mfg's will bring out their soon to be illegal GP bikes in street form just to be competitive? If so then we would be some lucky muh-fudders

just6 saw it, they are taken it down to the tiniest detail. I'll still take that facotry bike over it htough... the project duct will stay a twin.
I think i am more excited aobut the Aprilia 4 cylinder now... though it might fall short on looks

:withstupi And if you want to dump 15K to make it as good as the Duc, 1/2 that would just be the front end. It wouldn't happen with 15K. you're not going to get 200+ HP out of a GSXR for 15K. If you do, you wouldn't have $ to pimp the front end and brakes to handle all that power.

You could so easy get 200 hp out of it and still be n/a.
Cams, high comp, valves and springs, pipe, air filter, pc3 should do and that be less than 6k. Drop ohlins on it and some carbon fiber wheels on it.

I like it...because it a replica of Loris' bike however, I heard about 65k for this thing and that is never going to be worth it! Great bike, not a good buy!:wink:

I'm afraid this race rep is like a number of the expensive things in life - if you have to ask "how much?", you can't afford it. I'm sure most of the Ferrari customers pay cash for their purchase.

but ya id say 15K u could make any of the 1000's make 200 HP and still have money for the susepnsion work and even professional frame gusseting to give the maximum rigidity.
3,000$ for a 4lb boost turbo... no lag... 40HP.... and still be totally relaible on stock internals on that tiny of a boost. then all the bolt ones and superbike front end and all would leave ya enough room.

But it wouldnt sound that bad ass.... or get the booty off of the looks like the Duc....
Its like cars.. a WRX with 20K into it will kill a 80K Benz... but a girl will still give the guy in the Benz a road BJ while u drive home alone after stomping on his MB

:iagree: You could easily build a Jap to make those numbers and have all the right suspension parts for way less. In the end, all you would have is a bike with lots of wasted money invested that you likely would never see again.

Ducs like this are collectables and rarely would even be seen on the street but somebody will want it later and be willing to pay what ever it takes to get it.

Did you guys know that MV is putting out a bike similar to the Desmo? The Desmo is like 60K. The MV is going o be close to 200K. Fu*k that. It was in this months Cycle World. Just a short blurp on it. No big article.

thats insane...... But of all bikes.. the new V4 aprilia takes the cake for me. since it should be 30K or so./.. realisitc for most ppl who will sacrifice for a nice bike.. the 60K$ would never happen for me unless i sat on the couch for 2 years stragiht to save money a big enough down to afford the payments

Sixty k for a bike is just a little too much for me I think that having a bike like that probably means that for the most part the only people who will have them are rich posers who never ride them. there will be exceptions to that of course and I look foward to seeing them out there in the twisties. I do have a 205 million dollar lottery ticket so we'll see what happens...:luck:

As far whether it is worth it...depends on how much descretionary income you have.....and how important the word "exclusive" is to you.............

i think they hype went away becasue there are simply so few, and its so so expensive your not going to see them at bike nights headed out hitting the corners with the ninjas and gixxers. Bout like the MV Agusta thats in that range and the Bimota's that were...ppl love them when they are announced, but you dont talk aobut what you never see. Outta sight outta mind.
