R1up0n1 06-01-2006, 09:38 PM I heard this on the news this evening. Then it rained here about a 1/2 hour ago.
It's that tiny little red dot, it no longer exists. It's been completely bulldozed to the ground. So you can see why I get a little touchy about people dissing all of the people in that area.

No Worries 06-02-2006, 01:12 AM In 1979, I stayed in Lafayette and New Iberia while I worked in the salt mines.
Gas Man 06-02-2006, 02:07 AM I just know enough to keep my butt out of any hurricane areas!
99birdv6 06-02-2006, 06:46 AM This might sound weird and sick, but I look forward to hurricane season. I am really interested in meteorology. I of course dont want them to land here in the US, or anywhere for that matter, but its an awesome phenomenon to me.
marko138 06-02-2006, 07:54 AM I heard that people in FL are having a tough time getting homeowners insurance this year from Hurricane types of weather?
Any of you FL's shed some light?

People down here are still able to get insurance but its mad expensive. the rates have gone up tremendously. Ive heard flood insurance is hard to come by.

Thats really too bad. Insurance is such a money making :bs: scam.
JK_DILLA 06-02-2006, 09:14 AM One thing im getting this year that i should have had last, is a generator. I lost the contents of my fridge twice. What kind of generators do yall have? Im also getting more MRE's, those things are the best.
And im setting my Fantacy football draft as early as possible. Katrina ruined my draft last year by knocking my power out for so long. :D
99birdv6 06-02-2006, 09:17 AM Gotta have your priorities straight man. :dthumb:

Gas Man 06-03-2006, 01:58 AM Get a Honda generator. Start on the first pull and runs forever!
Gr1n1n 06-03-2006, 02:45 AM We made sure we got good coverage this year... and thats about it... I live a mile away from the ocean, and all that i have in front of my house in mangrove which is supposed to act as a protective barrier from storms, but Andrew proved us wrong back in 92.... fingers crossed, and I'm hoping we fare well this time around.
Good luck everyone
