Sure, your visibility is greater during the day, but there is a lot less traffic at night.
Which is your preference?
Do you prefer to ride during the day or at night?ShanMan14 06-05-2006, 02:10 PM Sure, your visibility is greater during the day, but there is a lot less traffic at night.
Which is your preference? bumblebee 06-05-2006, 02:13 PM I really like the hours of 4 to 7 am...the sunrises are beautiful, especially over the water...the temps are cool and the cagers are still tucked away under their covers...:dthumb: Earlzach 06-05-2006, 02:14 PM I really like the hours of 4 to 7 am...the sunrises are beautiful, especially over the water...the temps are cool and the cagers are still tucked away under their covers...:dthumb:
You said it all right there. I like my light but it dont have to be high noon. Late afternoon or early morning will do it for me.:dthumb: Trip 06-05-2006, 02:14 PM night.
I still have been brave enough to make a run on the gap at night, I bet that is bad a** scary. Seen some videos and I am amazed people find their way through. Gas Man 06-05-2006, 02:28 PM I like the daytime cause I can see more and all... but yeah at night = less traffic and less heat! No Worries 06-05-2006, 04:31 PM Deer come out at dusk, and they blend in with the scenery. DLIT 06-05-2006, 04:32 PM I like day better because overshooting your headlights sucks. So i have to go slower at night. Rae 06-05-2006, 05:12 PM i just want to ride, i dont care what time!! I would prefer mostly day for seeing purposes but night is good cuz it cools down here...95 + degrees with super humidity during the day just isnt right... ne1469 06-05-2006, 06:01 PM Sure, your visibility is greater during the day, but there is a lot less traffic at night.

midnight with a full moon is awesome. But I ride night or day.....so long as there is no hint of rain:lol: neebelung 06-05-2006, 06:21 PM Either or....
When I first started riding on the street, we rode at night. Stayed within a few miles of home, roads I was familiar with, but little traffic to contend with at night.
Progressively we worked up to riding during the day, and now I don't fret about traffic in the least.
Both have their merits... being summertime in Florida, night riding is more pleasant as far as temperatures, but then there are few things as beautiful as riding out over long, low bridge, overlooking the Atlantic, with the sun sparkling off of it. :dthumb: itgirl25 06-05-2006, 08:20 PM in my youth it never made a difference whether it was day or night. i just loved to ride! but now that i am getting older and my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be at night, i prefer daylight riding. i like being able to see my surroundings. EIDROEDYR 06-05-2006, 08:30 PM I don't mind riding day or night. Although visibility is better during the day, I enjoy less traffic, cooler temps, and the sound of my bike at night. Gas Man 06-05-2006, 11:21 PM Ryd...your bike sounds different at night? Like WHOA! :willy:
I just rode into work at night... its cool. I like the way my LED tag light lights up my rear wheel... my vertical tag is mounted so that the light is aimed towards the bike... hence lighting up my real wheel... looks way sick at night rolling with these hyper white LED's hittin the polished rear rim with all that dish of the 250!! :dthumb: wildwilly 06-06-2006, 02:39 AM Daytime is more fun. I have less problems with target fixation at night, but then again that could be my night blindness. Also, hitting bugs and bats at night isn't very pleasant.

Cmon G-man, it's not that is sounds different than in the day. It sounds that much better at night when it's calm, very little too no traffic or you're the only one on the road. 1BadCBR 06-06-2006, 09:46 PM Some things are best done at night......:angelhap: Gas Man 06-06-2006, 10:09 PM Alright... I'll give ya that it may be queter at night but the bike actually sounds the same... its just that you can hear it better. marko138 06-07-2006, 06:03 AM I prefer the day but I'll ride any time. It's great to be on 2 wheels no matter what the clock says. drewpy 06-07-2006, 08:03 AM yeah i like the night but the damn possums are out and thats a whole notha' story in OH jeeps84 06-07-2006, 11:04 AM I do my fun rides during the day but enjoy ridding at night too. My favorite time to ride is a weekday between 10am and 3pm. Most everybody is at work and leaves the country roads barren. Blazin' 06-13-2006, 03:33 PM for me it does not really matter sampology 06-14-2006, 03:26 PM i ride mostly in the night, when is less traffic and quiet roads (for a while hehe):angelhap: Gas Man 06-14-2006, 11:18 PM :welcome: Sampology! jeeps84 06-14-2006, 11:21 PM :welcome: Sampology!
