Need to bitch about the previous bike owner!

well it all started off nice when i bought the bike, the guy was extremly nice..went out of his way to personally deliever the bike to me on the back of his truck (10 hour drive) and even took a few hundred bucks off...now heres the problem.... in the ebay auction he clearly states that he has an extra quart of paint and clear coat for the bike, because the bike is a custom house of kolor color, so when he arrived i asked him where the paint was and he told me he forgot it but he has my address so he said he would mail it to me through UPS...and since he seemed like a decent nice guy i agreed.... a week later i called him and he said he would put the paint in the mail the next day....2 weeks later....nothing so i called and this is how the conversation went: Me:hey "bob" its eric, i bought the bike from you,m just seein what the deal is with the paint and clea.... Him: *CLICK* ok so i figured he lost reception so i called back, voicemail, again and again...so then i called and it rang twice and went to voice mail, you know how you can hit ignore :cursin: well now im pissed cause i dont have the paint or the clear... WTF :cursin: :cursin: :cursin: :cursin:

That's a ****ty thing to do to a guy, but it could be a lot worse IMO.

Well that sucks man, It could be a lot worse tho. Have you seen the title? If so then you would know if it had a salvage title. Also you can get that paint scanned and I'm sure they can match the paint. That guy probably delivered the bike such a distance for a reason tho...he really wanted to get rid of it.

Any paint shop can match the paint or at least tell you what type of paint it is.....

Did you get a good price on the bike even without the paint? If so then you ain't no fool! There sin't any damage on the bike where you would need the paint is there? If not when you get to it... get some paint matched... heck buy the house of kolors!

I wouldn't be all that upset with the fact that I didn't get the paint but I think the point here is the way he acted. That would piss me off to.

If not when you get to it... get some paint matched... heck buy the house of kolors! yes i still got a great deal but its the point...anyway i dont have naything to lose really, i applied for the 500 back from paypal so worse case scenario paypal will find him in the right (somehow) and me wrong and i wont get the 500 back but best case is i paypal will find him at fault and me right and i will get another 500 knocked off the price :wink: but to answer your question there are a few scuffs but you cant tell if your standing more than 5 inches from the bike so i guess i made out good :dthumb: man im in a good mood now :twfrox:

not tryin to one up ya but heres my crappy seller story, be glad you just didnt get paint... you coulda bought my 03 600RR (we got this January), it was in perfect condition, the parts we could see anyway, less than 4K miles...paid $5500.00 less than 3 months and 1400 miles later we had to buy a whole new engine!!! $1600.00 not to mention the month I was without a ride...you got a good deal, let it go and enjoy your new toy!! :cheers:

What the f happened to the engine? a rod blew, thankfully not out of the engine casing nor did it seize since my hubby was going rather fast at the time, which it is supposed to be able to handle!!! it just started making its death rattle and we had to trailer it back home...and everyone said it should not have done that unless the previos owner was an idiot and seriously mistreated it... we took it to the mechanic and he was friggin ridiculous, the whole thing was stupid, so we ended up just buying a new engine from a salvage place, a buddy who has a buddy kinda thing, so we got a really good deal on it, it is an '05 with only 27 miles (had tyo break in another friggin bike) but better all around and we got it ready to just drop in, so it turned out okay, the whole thing just really sucked!!!

true but i the bike has brand new tires on it with less than 200 miles....or so the "nice guy" i bought the bike from says :leaving: :lol: that doesnt mean much if you run over a screw or nail!! But IMO it is worth the costs to have a bike!!
