I'd have to second Midas' reply. The conti's are a good street tire that has the widest range of usefulness on the street. If you had mentioned that you wanted the best grip, I'd send you to the Michelin's, then Dunlop, then the Conti's. But for mileage, it's just the opposite. Basically, I think they are all good tires, but have different uses.

i see that the coniti roads are sport touring and then i see the conti sport attack which looks more for street bikes. i mostly use my bike to commute to work and i go on occasional rides when i have time. i see that the conti roads have deep tread pattern which means more mileage. the sport attacks no too much like the roads. i like to ride fast and go around turns pretty qucik too. nothing like motogp but pretty fast around bends. if the highway bends i really like to hit real hard at full speed. would the conti roads be able to handle riding like that on my R1. or should i go more towards the sportattacks and the qualifiers?

I had a set of the Conti Roads and got about 3,500 miles out of the rear with NO burnouts and the stickiness of the tires was a little scary at times....even with plenty of time to heat up. My personal favorite for good "mileage" and good grip is the Avon Storms. :dthumb:
