What do you guys think of this?
I'm buying an RC51 in the Spring. I'm going to have it custom painted, and I was thinking about this upper fairing...
And either this tailsection...
or this one...
Of the two tailsections, I think I prefer the first one.

Yeah I'll agree with you. I like the first tail section. The second just doesn't look right.

im not too keen on the front fairing at all..but thats just me..looks way to round..
but tail sections.. oh yeah.. I really like clean, finished sleek look of the supersport undertail they have there... from what was said in a previous thread, they are a major pain in the arse to install though, so might wanna keep that in mind.
either one works, the dual exhaust out the back is hot as well.
u could go with the super sport undertail, and a devil shotgun..now that would be sweet!

I think that's just the angle of the pic. It's shaped the same as the stock fairing. I really like the look. It's pretty expensive though, about $1000.
The tail sections are only a couple hundred bucks. I'm definitely doing one of those, but not sure about the front upper fairing. As much as I'd like to do it, it just seems like a waste of money to replace bodywork that isn't broken...

I agree the "bowl" fairing is almost too "retro-looking" for the undertail. I like the first undertail...does it come with the hugger, or do you have to purchase that separately??

for $1000.00 I wouldnt think it'd be worth it either, especially if it really resembles the stock that much..unless u really really want that particular look, why bother...

Now this is just me. I have always liked the RC51 the way it is. The new tail would be nice but it still looks fine as is.

I must disagree...the front fairing is HOTT! I like that! Projection headlights and all!!! However, for $1000?!?!?????? NO!! Spend the $1K on performence!!!
First tail is alot nicer than the second one!! But get a hugger as well. I have the undertail and the hugger and the undertail is still getting it's arsed kicked by road crapola!!

I like the first one. The second one doesn't have turn signals, plate holder, or plate light.

Just my but I personally don't care for any of it...but I'm not sure why. The front section is way too round, the first tail section doesn't do it for me, and the second tail is just too boring. No offense, just don't dig it.

None taken. I asked, right?
That said, I have to decide on the front fairing before I have the bike painted. If I don't do it before the bike goes in for paint, I won't do it at all.

I'd like to see a full pic of the 1st one, but I like it, looks a lot like a Ducati.
1st undertail.

That's what I was thinking. Looks like the endurance racers too, IMO. I've been trying to find a full-sized picture...
Yeah, that's the one I'm going to go with. I like the fact that the 2nd one uses the stock (square) taillights, but I'm going with the first one. Looks more finished/complete.

TO be honest the projection lights make that RC look like a pocketbike or something. THats one thing I like about my RC51 is the front end, it has a mean look to it with the dual larger lights w/ air intake in the center. As far as the undertails go, if your going to waste the money I like the Hot Bodies undertail. However I opted the "free" undertail by taking a hack saw to the ugly plastic stock fender and it looks much better.

Not that Ace is right but he DOES own a RC51 and his opinion should be weighted in such.....
