How long for parts?

How long does a model have to be out to be able to buy parts?? I have an 04 F4i and am having trouble finding anything. I was looking at a filter cross reference chart and everything ended with 03 for the F4i. Seats, bodywork like undertails, etc. everything stops at '03. If it didn't run like a kicked cat, I would think I have got an edsel. What gives??

Most of your parts if you buy online will not have a reference till the following year I have found out in the past. Now that doesn't mean that you can't get it. Most of the time you just need to call and they have it in there computers to order it. Best of luck.

I remember when I bought my SV, it took over year before anything aftermarket was available. Of course, it was a totally new bike.

yup, besides the dealer....going online, and getting the company's phone number, they'll usually have the part instock, or be able to order it for you.

I had to do this with several bikes when I needed a part and couldnt find it.
