Oh no, we are doomed!!!!!!!

Another four years for Bushwhacker. All of my friends are upset. you had better count on more government debt, dead soldiers and a bad economy. I did not like Kerry all that much but he was better than Bush.

good idea, that way we can lock all the political threads into it and let them all kill each other!

no need for a politics section Shan. seriously, just read the threads started by everyone whining that *gasp* the democratic process worked, the majority ruled and President Bush was re-elected... anyway... no need for a politics section. according to them, basically, the world is going to come to an end, hence the effort to set up a new section would be wasted.

He inherited a recession created by the bubble economy in the 90s. That wasn't Clinton's fault, however, the military cuts created part of the illusion. Eventually the economy has to correct itself and that's what's happening. We have the same unemployment rate that Clinton had when he got reelected. Interesting when you consider the libs were praising him for that, yet he never had to deal with a recession or 9/11.

What has Kerry done in the past 20 years?

Did the majority rule in 2000? Not a very consistent statement.

Will the world end? No, of course not.

How many of your friends drive foreign cars? Yes the stock market crashed due to the false bullsh!t economy that Clinton had EVERYTHING to do with. Now Bush is picking up the pieces. All the Democrats want to cry about "lost" jobs and it is ALL Bush's fault - how many of those pathetic whiny little beotches drive foreign cars? Probably ALL of them. You want jobs to stay here - BUY FOUCKING AMERICAN. Arnie called and left a message for you - STOP WHINING! Also stop creating new political threads... Wah wah, it is over and the best man won. Now deal with it and stop saying oh no 4 years is going to be hell, blah blah blah - either do something to help this country or move the ***** out of it. Oh yeah and "more" dead soldiers - people dying for the job they signed up for and protecting our country? This is bad how? Did they not now the world is full of bad people and that by signing up for the military they are signing up for an inherently dangerous job? I highly commend and recognize ALL our soldiers for a job well done! They deserve much due props. All you whiny anti-Bush anti-war I was for it when the WTC collasped but now it is time to whine like a Gen Xer or Gen Nexter because it is hard and people are dying. Welcome to the real world where it is not a video game that you can pick up and put down and it is not a 5 minute task - it is HARD work and takes TIME. You are disgracing our most reverant brethen who are soldiers fighting for your freedom. Yeah 1,000 troops died and that is terrible - I wish none of them died - but what is your choice? 1,000 dead soldiers or 1,000,000 dead innocent american citizens? Which one? Please tell me. Oh yeah more government debt? Yeah THANKS CLINTON! The whole false economy that he created is what you have to thank - how many foucking times do I have to say that closing down bases, not providing a budget for Navy ships to do their much needed task of patrolling the world's ocean's and not PAYING AMERICA'S BILLS is what caused the government debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There NEVER WAS ANY SURPLUS! You people are all dumb sheep that believe what the facist media and the ultra-liberal morons tell you - every ***** filled spoonful you eat it like you haven't ate for a year. Give me a break. Go to Canada or something for christ sake because this country needs less whiny please politicians think for us people. GET OVER IT! BUSH WON!

All HAIL W!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What he means is Gore got the popular vote in 2000. The reason is because I voted for him and my vote counts more.

i knew what he meant. but, if one is going to address me specifically and call me inconsistent, i'd only ask that they back that up with references.

as i only made one statement, by definition it can't be "inconsistent". anyway, if i was so inclined i'd point out now the lack of a "majority vote" of the people for the 16 years prior to this election. so, what matters more? majority vote? popular vote? good question.

that being said, one can argue "popular vote"... "majority vote", etc etc ad nauseum. the fact remains that, at the end of the day, neither matter much. it's the electoral college votes that decide the election.

now then, the relevance/need today for the electoral college system is an entirely *different* thread.
