Fact or fiction?

Is it true that the flame broiled stripes on a Burger King burger are on there when they are frozen?

the mark of a good chef/cook at a restaurant is being able to cook the burger or steak or chicken, etc..with those perfect little diamond shaped grill marks on the burger..its an appearance thing.

as far as fast food though, I never flipped burgers there so couldnt tell ya..but it wouldnt surprise me.
