Normally the only vehicles that hold value are the ultra rare. Something along the lines of the MV Agusta F4 AGO 1000 or the new F4 1000 Tamborini. Who wants to spend $40,000+ on a sportbike though. Anything with regular production limits normally depreciates about the same.

Harley guys talk about resale about as much as anything else, but I don't have a clue. Ducatis definitely hold their resale, and I think Triumphs do pretty well. I know a guy here that rides a Daytona and he said the customer service at Triumph dealerships are infinitely better than any other he's dealt with. I'm sure BMW is the same way.

Talk to Saint, I know he's researched a lot of bikes in the past year or so.

My buddy told me that his 01 748 is still worth 13k. He has like 8000 on it. He's selling it for 6000 because his crankcase is ****ed up.
