What do I do?

First I just want to say I’m not really trying to do wheelies, but it would be nice to get that wheel up 1”- 6”!

Ok I was under the impression that a power wheelie was just by accelerating really hard, is that correct?? I put my bike in first and accelerate as hard as I can till the red line then into second and on as hard as I can; my bike just goes fast it doesn’t even feel like its thinking about lifting.

I am the second owner so I don’t even know if the suspension has been changed. I hear peeps talk about -1+2 and so on I don’t even know what that means, is there a way of setting this back to stock when you don’t know what it’s at? If so how?

I am a refrigeration tech. so I’m very hands on; I hate not knowing what’s what! Makes me feel like a 1st year apprentice…….again

if you slam it into second under full acceration it should come up. ive got -1 +2 on my 929 and its like its on viagra! i cant keep it down. -1 is dropping one tooth on the front sprocket and +2 is adding 2 teeth on the rear. better acceleration and worse gas milage.

yikes. first off, -1+2 referes to sprokets, the little guys that go with your chain.

think 18 speed huffy, it was easier to do wheelies with the little gear in front and bigger gear in back. (best analogy i've ever heard)

the best way to get a 600 up, that wont come up by just strictly using full throttle, is to grab a fist of throttle, go about half way up your tack, completely let the trottle back, wait 1 to 2 seconds, and then put it back on full throttle, while sitting back (leaning back).

I've only done one like this so far, the other day, and i really wasnt even thinking about it when i did it, i just did it.

little tip on wheelies, run the bike in first to about 7000 to 8000 rpm, shut the throttle quickly and snap it back open. it WILL come up.

you should feel it, my 636 is great at lifting the front tire in first gear at about 25-30, just as they said hit the thrrotle hard, ease off of the throttle and hit it again harder, should lift right up

but make the let off and hit it quick, you should just start to feel the shift in weight in the bike

should come up pretty smooth if your used to how full acceleration feels. but it will happen pretty quick. dont hammer the throttle wide open after you let up. get used to it by giving it as little throttle as you can first. youll feel how much thottle you need then, just remember to shut the throttle if its too harsh for ya. slamming it down on the front wheel is better than going over backwards.

Thanks guys that will give me something to play around with

I really do not feel comfortable with clutching or “bouncing” it up (what ever that means)
I think I need to at least feel what its like to have the wheel go light before I try any of that.

if u keep the throttle hammered.. u can almost do a backflip

Bouncing.. while standing up, push on the front and when it comes back up hit the gas.

Clutching, get the rpms about 6k, and just let it go. and hang on. if it feels to high up let off the gas and hit the rear break.

on mine.. at my elevation when i shift from 1st too 2nd.. my front wheel comes up. now when im in las vegas.. -2k more feet in elevation.. 1-4th when i shift comes up.

When u wheelie, just don't be affraid. if your scared.. u are will go down
