Gearing advice!!!!!11

I have a 93 zx7with a 15f 45r i am looking to get a larger sprocket for the rear so i can power it up instead of clutching it so hard, it weighs 430lbs dry so its a fat girl does anyone know a good gear ratio to run for such a heavy bike like mine? BTW the guy at my local shop is telling me that if i drop a tooth in the front it will raise my low end torque but one of my buddies is saying that if i raise a tooth that it will wheelie much easier which one is it up a tooth or down i would like to know forsure and not from a few guys that i know that arent even into stunting. thanks Justin Laurent

dropping one tooth in the front will make it wheelie easier. as will increasing teeth in the rear. both will lower the gear ratios. alot of times you can drop a tooth in the front w/out having to get a new chain.

in most instances -1 tooth in front equals +3 in the rear.

i had -1 in the front and +2 in the rear on my cbr929 (bike was on viagra all the time, couldnt keep it down!). i swapped the stock front sprocket back in it and its easier to control in power wheelies. not so jerky. i do have to downshift now if i want to pass someone in a hurry though.

My 95 YZF600 has -1 in front +2 in rear. It's heavier than yours and I'm sure I am as well but I could hit myself in the chest with the tank. I couldn't power it up but I could clutch it up. Although slamming second gear it will raise slightly.
