To be honest with you, I used to power wheelie my busa until I learned how to slip the clutch. When you first try slipping the clutch, it may feel that the bike only wants to lundge foward. I had this problem until I kept practicing. It is a real fast motion on the clutch (with 1 finger) and romping a bit on the gas all kinda like one motion.
This is the only way I do it now. As far as the Busa, not really the right bike to do it on.

My good buddy had a '06 Busa and last summer he was going 4th gear stand ups. Then he hit a coon on it at 110 while on one wheel... The busa didnt make it. The '07s wernt out yet so it was still "new" so the insurance replaced every part except the motor, and he sold it.

No it was in Illinois. I would have bought it but I didnt have the cash and i had my bike, he sold it for a steal. And everything was brand new. He was just to crazy on it. He said he was gunna kill himself on it. He had a friend at the dealership who did something to the PCU and took off the speed limiter.

Only a TRE or a modded (G)ear (P)osition (S)ensor can de-restrict the 186 factory top speed limit.

I have the modded gps,but it is a PITA to put in cause you have to pull the whole clutch basket out. But, your fuel maps dont change like they do with the TRE.

Shouldn't a GSXR600 just pop one by leaning back and getting on the throttle?

The videos above are pretty good but they do me no good. The way they talk makes me think they might as well be saying "Okay yoru first step it to take this GSXR1000 twin turbo with nitrous injection and just ease into the throttle". My bike is way underpowered and can't do them out of first and I have to clutch it pretty good. So when I attempt it I either A) don't do it or B ) do it waaaay to flippin good.

I plan on getting a small cheap screw around on dirtbike and hope to learn some stuff on that. My buddy who is freaking awesome at wheelies and would do tank wheelies at 80mph on his R1 (And his old CBR600 F3) said he learned how to do them really well with an 88cc Z50.

wheelies are a lil bit harder with a 600, but they can still do them pretty easily.... a new gixxer can easily power wheelie in first (wouldnt recomend it tho) ... so the biggest thing u need to do is like your friend said, try to find someone with a dirtbike u can use, and try to learn poppin the clutch and the balance point on that before u try it on a new gixxer (i would much rather drop a dirtbike then a new gixxer)... other then that, just takes practice practice practice (off the public streets)... but it is possible... when i rode a katana back in the day, i could keep the wheelie goin tru third gear till it lost momentum ... and thats a heavy ass underpowered 600
