Joe Rocket Question

Looking on New Enough last nite and came across this:
http://newenough.com/closeouts/barga...le_jacket.html
Wondering if anyone had worn a mens XS in Joe Rocket and how it fits. It "should" fit me. But I was wondering if anyone had worn an XS in Joe Rocket?

You have boobs. Don't get it. Joe Rocket's women's gear fits really well for those with boobage, but men's gear (regardless of who makes it) will not. If you were super tiny/smaller chested, then you might be okay, but since you're chesty, it wouldn't fit you right.

Gear has to fit right to do it's job in the event of a crash... do yourself a favor, and don't buy just based on price... buy stuff that's cut specifically for a woman's body, and make sure it fits you right.

I understand where you're coming from, but don't skimp on gear just cus you need it quickly. Keep checking newenough.com, and also check Tricktape.com (they've got a bunch of stuff for ladies on closeout right now) and wait till you get something that'll fit you properly. Or ask around and see if a GF has something you can borrow for your trip (assuming you've got some GF's who ride )

Twink

What size do you wear in ladies' clothes/jackets? Both number and S, M or L, etc...?

There's a ladies' classifieds section on a women's riders forum I'm on. I can scope it out for ya...

Also, check Craigslist, and Ebay.

I think you'll need a large in general.

That's a GREAT jacket, but do make sure it's got vents, as textile is warm this time of year. However, I do know that jacket runs really small, so you MIGHT want to go up a size.

Also, riding jacket arms run long anyway... when you're standing upright, the sleeves will seem really long, but once you're on the bike, and leaning forward to grip the tank, they'll be just right.

PS: And don't forget gloves!!!!! Since you're riding passenger, look for something with a gel palm (and no bling, or metal on them, so you don't scratch the tank). You'll get some vibrations and numbness in your hands riding passenger, so the gel palm will help absorb some of that, and make for a more comfy ride.

I guess you decided not to get a men's jacket and that's probably the right choice. However, I wear an extra small joe rocket mesh jacket that fits decently enough for someone my size. I don't have much in the way of boobs though so I'm sure that helps. The jacket is also broad in the shoulders for most women. I say go for a women's jacket because you'll end up liking it better 99% of the time.
