Yes for years I have watched my husband ride away.. now it's my turn. I bought a new bike.. Baby Ninja/250.. Hubby said it's a great beginner bike for me, I can flat foot it compared to sitting on his (old 600) or his new Z10..
I want to sign up for a safety course.. does anyone know how long it takes to get into one of these classes. Do you think I will be able to get into one 'this' weekend??
Thanks for any advice I can get..
Oh and being new, is there a group of women who get together at times and do rides or gets together.. (in AZ.. )
Check out http://www.msf-usa.org for a listing of classes in your area. How long it takes to get in will vary by area... around here, there's a college, and half a dozen private schools that teach it, but in other areas, I know it's harder to get into.
As for groups of lady riders in your area, Your best bet is going to be to find a local-specific forum, and/or a local bike night where you can meet people in your area.
Sign up as soon as you can. I just took the class this past weekend and I signed up for it in early June. I guess where you live they probably run the class year round but in some places they stop in the fall and you don't want to get caught waiting til next spring!
When I took my msf course I did it through Arrowhead Harley (the Rider's Edge course) and I got in a class 2 weeks after I signed up. The other option for you is TEAM Arizona. I don't know what the wait is like for them though.
I'm always looking for people to ride with!
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.
