Take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation class. See what bike they supply you, and ask them why they use that particular bike.

If you have never piloted a motorcycle before, I recommend a small cruiser like the Honda Rebel to learn on. You can pick them up cheap, and if you don't crash it up too badly, you will get your money back when you sell.

You need to use your mind and not your ego when picking your first bike

ANSWER-- No such answer.. most people just ask that question to justify their reason to buy a bike... all in all your gonna get what you want anyway just be educated about what your buying and be responsable. PLUS KNOW THAT YOUR GOING TO DROP IT... **** happens just be prepared for the worst.. yes i will say if you never ridden dont get a liter bike get sumthing that you feel comfortable on and DONT BE CONSURNED ABOUT WHAT OTHER SAY ABOUT YOUR RIDE..your riding it not them.. and if they still bitch tell them to buy you a bike they like you riding
