I really like the hours of 4 to 7 am...the sunrises are beautiful, especially over the water...the temps are cool and the cagers are still tucked away under their covers...:dthumb:

I still have been brave enough to make a run on the gap at night, I bet that is bad a** scary. Seen some videos and I am amazed people find their way through.
i just want to ride, i dont care what time!! I would prefer mostly day for seeing purposes but night is good cuz it cools down here...95 + degrees with super humidity during the day just isnt right...
When I first started riding on the street, we rode at night. Stayed within a few miles of home, roads I was familiar with, but little traffic to contend with at night.
Progressively we worked up to riding during the day, and now I don't fret about traffic in the least.
Both have their merits... being summertime in Florida, night riding is more pleasant as far as temperatures, but then there are few things as beautiful as riding out over long, low bridge, overlooking the Atlantic, with the sun sparkling off of it. :dthumb:
in my youth it never made a difference whether it was day or night. i just loved to ride! but now that i am getting older and my eyes aren't as sharp as they used to be at night, i prefer daylight riding. i like being able to see my surroundings.
Ryd...your bike sounds different at night? Like WHOA! :willy:
I just rode into work at night... its cool. I like the way my LED tag light lights up my rear wheel... my vertical tag is mounted so that the light is aimed towards the bike... hence lighting up my real wheel... looks way sick at night rolling with these hyper white LED's hittin the polished rear rim with all that dish of the 250!! :dthumb:
Daytime is more fun. I have less problems with target fixation at night, but then again that could be my night blindness. Also, hitting bugs and bats at night isn't very pleasant.

Cmon G-man, it's not that is sounds different than in the day. It sounds that much better at night when it's calm, very little too no traffic or you're the only one on the road.
I do my fun rides during the day but enjoy ridding at night too. My favorite time to ride is a weekday between 10am and 3pm. Most everybody is at work and leaves the country roads barren.
I ride to work and work different shifts, so I get the best of both worlds.
