Bike + Track = A 1st time Experience

In March a few friends and hubby decided riding the track would be fun. I went with them in March to watch and help in the pits (most of them this was their 1st track day). We also went in April, in May and in June. Hubby, and 2 friends even took race school one Friday in May.

My one friend always provides the trailer space for a small fee and we usually ride up in the truck with him. When he found about a newbie day at the track he registered me and paid for my track day (Thanks Again-you are the best). He knew this was the perfect opportunity for me to ride the track.

I can not even put this experience into words. There were experienced riders who took the time to teach the newbies, by allowing us to lead follow them as many session as we needed. I took advantage of this most of the day. Greg Melka CCS #3 was even there. He picked me to follow him on my first track session of the day.

I exceeded the expectation of Hubby and My Friend . I still have a lot to learn, but I improved my time by 23 seconds by the end of the day.
Hubby left his bike at home, so he could watch me ride, take pictures, and help in the pits. Here is the link to some pictures from the track photographer.

What's the cost for a track day in the States??

Around the $200AS mark will get you a days riding at most tracks in Aust. The hardest part is finding a date when they hold them.

GSXRgirl, great photo's and congrats on losing your racetrack virginity! I've said (repeatedly) that riding on the track is not only the most fun you can have with your clothes on (and the second best thing you can do in leather!), but you will also learn more about your riding in a short time than you will on the road!
Would you agree?
Once again, well done, and congrats!!!

I'd love to do a trackday. Nothing terribly close to me. Pocono I think is the closest.

At this track, Track days can run anywhere from 100-150 depening on when you sign up or if it is a private or open track day.

Looking good. You could proly hang your butt off a lil more (looking at the last pic). Your upper body could be leaned off more too. Just some thoughts. I'm still jealous.

Good pics, track days are great but I do not do many in the summer heat here in PHX, nothing like racing in 115 degree heat with full leathers on.
