Oct 6th Gingerman Raceway

Anyone interested in an open track day? It's $100 for the whole day. The track is near South Haven, MI making the location great for anyone in Grand Rapids or Chicago. I know it's a Friday but you know you want a long weekend, plus 100 bones is cheap as hell! Here is their website, not a ton of info but it's easy enough to call them. Link

By "better" do you mean more sparks? Cuz then you win for sure!

Call Gingerman and see how they would feel about a chopper on their track and if they're cool then show up.

There will be ppl there from wideopensportbikes.com, cycleforums.com, detroitsportbikes.com, and i'm the token TWFer that'll be there. I can't believe how many people are coming out of the wood work since I mentioned this on those forums yesterday. Sh*t Gingerman should let me ride free for all the business I'm bringing!

I'm not quite sure yet. If someone heading back to Ann Arbor has extra room in their trailer/truck I'll probably hitch a ride so that I don't have to ride all the way back. But if I have no such luck then I'll stay the night in GR and ride back in the morning. In which case I'm guessing you'd want to head out together...

Yeah I can drag pipes, feet, pegs, plate, primary and even some frame. Can you drag frame while still in control? I bet you can't...

There was a guy on a Hardley Softcock at a ride day at Oran Park some time ago. Credit to him for giving it a go, and it was a nice looking bike. But watching him try to wrestle the thing through corners was just painful. If he'd leaned off the bike any further, he'd have been scraping his nose ring. And he was so slow, my girlfriend Sharon overtook him, (it was her second trackday on the Yamaha Zeal 250, and she was still a little nervous), then went on to LAP HIM! TWICE!!

Gas, have some self respect, borrow a bike! In fact, do yourself a real favour, and try to borrow a small two stroke, like an RZ 250 or something. Then ride it 11/10ths. You'll thank me for this!

Don't ride your bike to a track day. If you crash you won't be able to get home.

Yeah I'm going, for a half-day.

marko, I have to ride there since I don't have a trailer and I need to work in the AM. However, a couple of guys that I know have extra trailer space and are going to be heading back to Detroit so I'm planning to trailer it back home anyway (ideally without repairs needed to the SV).

Watch being worn out when you get there to. Bear in mind this is coming from a guy who has never been to a track...but I've read some stuff.
