Second track day in the bag!

Too tired to elaborate right now, but before I forget, I thought some of you will find it interesting that I got owned by Jason DiSalvo. He's a real good Graves Yamaha AMA racer. He was on his own personal R1, killing it! So smooth, he is. One guy went down (fixed his rearset and rode later on in the day), one guy went 4X4'ing four times, and never went down. Took out a HUGE bush on one. I'll have more later. Gonna rest a bit. We stopped around 2 because it started raining.

Worked out good. Had some trouble, very little, down shifting twice to get to first. I wasn't rotating my foot down enough to reset the lever so I could get in 1st after 2nd. It would eat up track, so I'd just take the turn in 2nd.

Look good there Dlit! Good form! Looks like you are battling your upper body to keep it squared off to the tank...

I really wasn't. My ass was half off the seat. You can't really see my leg kicked out way far either.

I have noticed your forum has improved dramatically over your past track days but who am I to judge. I'm no expert at it either.

I was thinking the same thing... its the "new" style of knee draggin body position... I see it all the time...

Don't get me wrong Dlit sure does go fast and all.

But I see so many riders that I think are complete posers. Just a different kind. The "WHOA look at me drag my knee" Sure my form sucks and therefor I have huge chicken strips but I'm draggin knee! I'm thinking... cause kneedragging doesn't mean you're fast!

Different strokes
Different folks

Again... Dlit... you look good. It does look like you're reachin a bit and that is throwing off your upper body. Your sholders should stay as square to the tank as possible. Please don't take my advice/notice wrong.
