Had a chance to ride the new track in Joliet yesterday on it's opening week, with the staff from Sportbike Track Time and team Vesrah Suzuki.

Very nice track designed by Alan Wilson (Gingerman, BeaveRun, Barber, etc.) - there is a north and a south course, which can also be run as one. The north course is very flowing and fun on a bike, while the south course tended to have a lot of really tight corners and didn't flow well on a bike. However in a car it the south track was the better track to drive. Both can be combined to make a very long 3.56 mile track.

Specs at: http://www.autobahncountryclub.net/track.html

They are still placing curbing and adjusting some of the guardrails and runoff, but overall the track looks safe and bike friendly. It is located in the middle of nowhere near Chicagoland Speedway.

The facility is a member-funded deal - $15k-20k for a membership. However there will be some club events, track days, and other means by which us non-wealthy individuals can gain access.

In car video will be available in a couple of weeks on our website.
