My First Track Day is BOOKED!!!

It's official. I'm doing my first track day. I'm doing the Buell Sponsored Day at Pocono. The Novice slots filled up in a couple hours...but the company (Private Track Time) made room for me and my buddy. It's gonna be awesome. I can't wait.

The only thing that sucks is that it's 6 months away. September 27, 2007. And I've heard Pocono's track isn't in great shape...the only thing they give a damn about is NASCAR. But oh well....it's a track day none the less. And the track is only 8 turns...it's not real tight.

But it will be awesome for my first time.

That gives you time to get your bike ready and for you to brush your winter rust off you!

Get the list of tech inspection stuff for that track of company. Order a pre-drilled oil plug, use a K&N Gold Performence oil filter with the pre-drilled nut on the end, get some safety wire and the pliers tool for it. I suggest you get the one that is spring loaded and all you do is pull the end and it spins for you.

Plus have some one show you how to wire it so its pulling the nut tight with the wire.

I think there is a sticky on it in road racing.

I'll deal by riding the mean streets of Central PA.

This is the course lay out...not great...but it'll work for the first time:

those 2 straights should be fun.

wonder why they don't use more of the infield turns?

It looks like you're going to be running at high speeds. Bring new tires.
