Its been offered to go to a bar to watch the race on the big screen and I'm not sure if I want to go as I love being able to use the DVR and back up and slow more to form my own opionion what caused a crash and such.

Has anyone watch MMR on a big screen, should I give it a try??? I don't know the place and if they play music instead of the race sound I will be pi$$ed off.
I can always go back and rewatch any incident later.

that is great to hear! SR is a hero to us older folks. I never thought he would be able to ride or race again!
he used to have www.thescreamingchief.com as a web site, but it looks like it is now an open domain name.

Yes, I too have followed "The Chief" for many years. Oner of my fond memories of riding wth Scott was at Mid-Ohio. He missed 1st Superbike practice and came out on the 2nd lap of the 2nd practice on the Harley right in front of me. I tried my best to get by him but the Harley still had too much motor. I dogged him for 3 laps showing him a wheel many times but couldn't get by, and it was practice after all . After 4 laps of me dogging him Scott pulled in. I ended up dropping my lap times to a new personal best in practice and it carried over to the races.

I wish the AMA would get their scoring going, with all the changes this offseason it doesn't look like they have their ducks in a row. That and I heard they borrowed a scoring trailer since they haven't replaced the one that burnt down last fall.
