2008 MotoGP Tipping Comp Rd 5 LeMans

LAY MON!
LAME-ON!

OK........Fronce!

Round 5, The famous (or infamous) LeMans circuit. It's rumoured that they used to whip any French riders who did poorly here... but they had to stop, because they were enjoying it!

Guintoli, French rider... in a French team..... on a French Bike (well, not really.... but it does run on oil and grease!!) Could he do it???

no, probably not!

Randy DePuniet........Possibly...........

Not likely

OK, with no hometown heroics to screw things up.... I'll tip

1. Rossi
2. Stoner
3. Lorenzo

And the rain is coming...

Jerry B will have Rossi's race strategy dialed in I say he wins, Pedrosa will be quick wet or dry so second, Lorenzo will only push to keep his points up until he heals so he will get shoved back to 4th by Stoner who really needs a finish.

That's my crystal ball.

Rossi
Pedrosa
Stoner

But with rain in the forecast look for Edwards, Hopkins, and melandri to push. De Puniet loves the rain and it is his home race. Should make for good veiwing

May have to step down

Hi all
I'm taking off for Brisbane tonight for work, I don't know if I'll get internet access where I'm staying but I'll be home on Thursday.
If someone wants to tally points and post results, go for it. It's fairly easy
10 points for picking the first rider home, 8 for second, 7 for third and 5 for any podium finisher you picked in the wrong spot. I normally copy the results from last round, paste them into the round just gone, and make the necessary changes.

I don't see the rest of the year changing much for me, I'll be raking in those "Frequent Flyer" points. So if I'm running late opening tipping for a round, someone else can jump in.....I promise I won't get upset!

At this stage, I'm just hoping the pub I'm staying at is showing the Races tonight!

Great Work, Smileyman, Thanks for stepping up!

Any news on what happened to Stoners bike? I'm sure there were some embarrassed blokes in that garage!

What a ride by Lorenzo. Anyone want to venture that a rider who can come second with two broken ankles can't win the championship in his rookie year?? The guy redefines toughness!

I'll look at the next round later today. Thanks again Smileyman

Ducati engineers found a failed "component" in Stoners engine and grounded all of the '08's until the "component" had been addressed. They missed out on some testing time at Leman due to the fact. Guess no one could be more gutted about it than Casey.

Honda's will be on pneumatics at Mugello, hope the Duc's are back on song.

Question is, Who could stop a healthy Lorenzo?
