Don't know which is more embarrassing...
...to be a Ducati owner, or an American racing enthusiast.
Did you ever think there would be a season when Ducati
wins an AMA flat-track race, but gets out-gunned by
Spaniards on Japanese mounts in Moto GP?
Obviously, Stoner doesn't want to upset his new
bosses at Honda, so he didn't try too hard to
put up much of a fight y'day. Like a NASCAR
driver, just finished for points.
And Hayden should spend more time working
on his "Duck" than crafting some bizarre
home-made hairstyle (if "home" is a state
penitentiary, that is). Again, a non-podium
finish.
And the other American rider, Colin Edwards,
maintained his status as Moto GP's answer
to NASCAR's Dave Blaney. "Texas Tornado"?
"Dalhart Dust Devil" is more like it.
Lastly, EVERY rider from 4th on back should
be just plain embarrassed themselves.
Can't even beat a crippled Rossi. Whatever
they have to do, Ducati NEEDS Troy Bayliss
back. He won in Moto GP before, in a season-
ending one-off ride, doubtless he could do
it again.
Good thing for the current Moto GP teams
that Mighty Max Biaggi and Aprilia are
concentrating on dominating WSB.
