The article on RR World said 2009.

I was just looking at the design. It looks very fast. Can't tell about elevation changes.

It's not far from me. I'm ready now!

It's just a project plan. OR is always coming up with these great ideas, but they don't follow through. It's a funny place. It's set to begin construction in 2009, but I doubt it will happen. Not with the type of projects that go on only a short distance away. They just shut down a road that runs out that way for security reasons, I doubt they will build a race track that close. My plant is one of a very select few that produces tritium for classified projects/weapons for a facility in that area.

From what I have read the Dept. of Energy is on board. But, we all have seen similar projects announced elsewhere, and it seems like 30% ever get anywhere.

I wish there were tracks a little closer to Harrisburg. Closest I think is Pocono.

I live next to OR and have friends that work there. The possibility of this becoming reality is about 20% at best. I really don't see them using that land for that at all. I predict another research facility idea will become reality on that land.

Ever heard of E.L.F. or A.L.F.? The group that sets fire to places who build things on land or use animals for research?

Earth Liberation Front won't get near this land since it is currently in a facility that is secured by the US Government when it also has nuclear weapons research on going currently in nearby buildings and the land this is scheduled to be built on was at one time used for the same purpose. Could you see the government allowing a racetrack built next to one of it's nuclear weapons facilities?
