Your HID guru

New and happy to be a part of this community. My name is Steve, and as both a bmw enthusiast and someone who has been involved for years in HID technology I thought I would start a thread to help answer any questions that many have about this relatively new technology, ESPECIALLY for BMW motorcycles. I will share and post some pics as well upon request.

Perhaps I should start off with a general explanation about HID's, in case anyone is unsure. HID stands for Hgh Intensity Discharge. This technology increases safety and visibility for the driver and allows for increased awareness and reaction time to hazards on the road. Xenon HID bulbs provide 300% more light than current halogen technology, while only consuming half of the power (wattage). This enables the driver to see the road and any obstacles more clearly, while simultaneously allowing more power for other functions of the vehicle. Oh, did I mention HID's are made to be a direct factory replacement for our BMW's? Here is an example of some 1Off HID lights on some sport bikes
