When you get a K&N its just the one filter... no need for the foam then paper setup!

well there is the main filter which is right under the gas tank...but then the sub filter is sort of in front of the main filter (i dont feel that i should have to explain it to you n00bs )...when i order the K&N will it come with the subfilter as well as the main filter? and what do you mean the foam then paper setup?

I have seen round paper filters wrapped with a foam filter but I'm a bit confused on what he's saying he has in his air box.

I've never know a K&N to have anything like that.

Does this filter in question cover the carb inlet or the ram air inlet.

If I were you, I would definitely replace the fuel lines, and I took a look at my 99 900rr and don't see what you're talking about as far as sub filter?

and to TWF

Bad/old/rotted/cracked fuel lines are major fire hazard. Check for cracks by flexing the hose. If its hard and brittle. You will see it. If you find soft spots or blisters. It desperately needs replacing.
