I just got my new bike last Sat. I've had a blast on it so far, but have alot of experience to gain. Here are some pics of my new "baby"!

It's new, was "Brand New" last Sat. Now I got 340 miles on it though. I hated the rear fender "Tennessee Mud-Flap" so as soon as I got home I ordered the eliminator kit from Comp Werkes. Now I just gotta get some flush front turn signals.

It's a lot of bike for a first time rider, but I'm old enough and (finally) smart enough to take it very easy til I get used to the power. I took the MSF class a few weeks ago........ I've come to the conclusion the Honda 250 Nighthawk I was ridding in that class is really a bicycle with a small weedeater motor. LOL Just Kid'n, I actually liked that bike, but It's kinda small for a big dude.

I've got some more pics of my bike with the front turn signals removed and my Greggs Customs installed. I've got almost 600 miles on it now so I'm due for my first service. I guess I'm pretty lucky as I have a few friends that have Gixers and ZX12R's. They understand I'm a new rider so when we ride they do more teaching than "getting after it". And during rides they take the curves at speeds they know I can handle instead of trying to push me at this point. Maybe a few thousand miles and I'll be ready to do some pressing in the corners.

Anyway, here are the pics.

Sounds like you run with a good crew. :dthumb: I run with a similar group that stops or slows up frequently to make sure we don't lose anyone. We have friends on crusiers who like to ride with us because of that. Just remember to always ride your own ride!

Yea, we've got about 10-15 guys at work that have everything from sportbikes to custom choppers to goldwings. They all go to Joe's Crab Shack or Beale Street on Wednesday nights. I'm just not quite comfortable with that many bikes right now, so I'm only ride'n with small groups 2-4. Maybe in a few weeks I'll be ready to tackle the Wednesday night ride.

If guys in the group are drinking, I stay ahead of them on the ride back. If that is not possible, then I find my own route home. Nothing against them, but I want to reduce the odds that I get wiped out by someone else's poor decision. Food for thought. :2cents:

About the hardest thing they drink is Sweet Tea.
 That is good. I know a few guys who are very fast and drink quite a bit if we go to bike night, so myself and others will usually cut out early for the ride home. They are great guys, but they sure do hang it out there sometimes.
