Deal or no deal?

Hey TWF memebers, I need your opinion on the sale of a 2003 CBR600 for $2,300.000. The only problem is this guy lives 5 hours away from me. But I really want this bike! what do you think about this sale?....it looks like it's worth it to me!

I would be very suspicious. That is a little more than 1/2 what's its book value is. Do not make any money transactions before you know for sure the deal is real.

Glad to be of some assistance....

Seriously though, I wouldn't drive that far to see a bike that I've only seen in pictures. I always keep in mind that some of those to good to be true deal are just that. Are there many bike shops in your area?

yeah, there's a million dealerships!!! but there is no used market for bikes in minnesota....most people ride these things for about half the year....so they don't sell em because they have low mileage and nobody finds it neccessary to get ride of em

don't let the distance put you off...99birdv6 sold his '03 RR, in Florida to pickle of Doom, who lives in Michigan...I am going to transport to Illinois where Pickle is coming to get it...

The price does seem low...

Thank's for your input on this everyone,
Just to let you know I followed up on trying to get a hold of this guy; email him 2 times and called 2 times.
I called yesterday and some little kid answered and said he didn't know where the owner, but the kid said he had a motorcycle for sale but didn't want to sell it.

Then I called today and got a message saying if you are calling about a Honda CBR the owner of the bike posted the wrong phone number and he wanted to know the site it was posted so he could report it to the authorities as a scam.

So I didn't even leave a message and just decided to hang the sale up. I thought it was too good to be true.

Don't you know a scam when you see it?
