Returning to sport bikes, what year CBR is right?

Folks,

After a long toime off, heading to CSS two day school and want a used and very good second bike for track days and short hauls around town, looking at used CBR 600 f4i - but is there a year that I should lean toward? 2002 - 2005 is the target. Doesn't have to be new, just want to know if there was a major shift in technology or a bad year for the CBR...

Any info would help, thanks,

Drew

If you want one with a split seat instead of the banana seat you need to get an 01-02.

All the CBR's within that range aren't too terribly different... Look for the best deal...

as I know it, the CBR is just a great bike regardless of year. if you find one you feel is right, get it. there arent any bad years I dont think. and the F4i is a superb stuntbike, around town machine, and just general sportbike.

I don't think theres much of a difference between them. I've heard some people say the 01 f4i might not be as good b/c it is the first year they had FI, and it wasnt developed well yet (?). also like Rider said the nana seat is on all bikes after 03 i think.
personally I'd go with an 02.
