I have a "new" 2002 F4i and...

... I have a dangling question.

The bike has a 3/8" rubber hose dangling out of the lower fairing, just hanging loose, between the swing arm stirrup and the header. The upper end seems to be solidly attached somewhere in the depths of the frame below the gas tank but I can't tell where exactly unless I pull the fairing.

The bike doesn't seem concerned about this loose hose.

Anyone have any idea what this could be?

"Rain drain" from the gas tank, like the one in the boot around a Corvette filler nozzle?
