I had one prior to my priller.

Is there anything in particular you were wondering about them?

If you have an opportunity, get a set of the bling limited edition Moriwakis. They are awesome.

The Sato pipes make the most HP on that bike.

The number one suggestion I have is to chuck the rear shock and buy one that actually works, like a penske or an ohlins. The rear stock shock is a steaming pile of poo.

Oh, and bookmark this link.

really, i was wondering how fast they are, i see that they one have around 124 hp and around 76 ftlbs torqure. I was wondering how they compare to the other 1000cc's as far as speed and stuff. anyways thanks for input.

In a straight line, they won't keep up with modern 1k's. However, if you know how to ride one, you can exit the corners faster. Overall, it's plenty fast enough.

Personally, I love the characteristics of the V-Twin. I wouldn't have anything else.

I've never actually owned one but have rode a few hard and put them up wet. The RC51 is an awesome bike and should be respected as a liter bike. Mojo is right. The torque of the twin can be so smooth that you can rip out of a corner like nobodies business. It will fall short on the top end but so does a Ducati and how cool are they?

The RC-51 is a rack. Not like boobs rack, like torture rack. It is designed to go fast on a track, and thats about it! Not great for everyday riding, or long trips, but a monster on the tarmac. Get that baby out on the track, Rae'sGuy!

Congrats!! To both of you!

I have never ridden one but Ace and I usually hang in the Gap together. I can take him in the straight on my 1K but the twisties he's pretty quick and smooth with the DL power.
