GSX-R turn signal mirrors on 600 F4i......

I finally got the picture thing figured out.

I designed some brackets to make GSX-R mirrors work on my F4i. I really wanted to have the turn signals in the mirror but I didn't like the generic looking universal ones that are available on ebay. So seeing as how nothing was available to purchase I took it into my own hands to make something.

The brackets still need some finishing touches but what do you think? Visibility and functionality are great. I am really happy with them.

looks good to me... do they offer any more field of vision? I might try something diffrent as far as the bracket goes... not that I don't like yours... I just would like something that was more of a block... ya know?

how do they work? any problems with wiring?

I know what your saying. I was thinking of the block too. I would have prefered to have a CNC machined aluminum adaptor but it didnt work out because there was no way to screw it all together. There are 2 screws that screw into the mirror and then 2 that screw into the bike. So it didnt work out. I still need to clean these up but the finished product will look a lot like the ones in the picture.

The field of view doesnt really change. If anything it is a little better. The GSX mirrors can be angled a lot more so you can have it just the way you like it. Wiring wasnt a problem. They blinked perfectly and I didnt need any resistors or load simulators. It was really easy and I am really happy with the way the turned out.

Once I get a finished prototype I may have a few extra sets made. If there is enough interest a group buy might be possible.

The mirror blocks are only 1" extensions for GSX-R's I did look into them and they would not fit this application. I had go custom. I did a lot of searching and I couldnt find anything anywhere that would work.

Im not sure yet. I may not have to pay for these at all I am a car saleman at Maguire Chevrolet in the Ithaca area and I had my body shop work on it for me so I dont think Im going to have to pay for it. They are really busy so if I decide to make another pair or do a group buy I will probably go through another friends shop. They can spend more time on them and they will probably get it done quicker. Atleast the design and prototype will be done which is the hard part anyway.

I just got to Rochester after a pretty long bike ride from Ithaca. https://www.twowheelforum.com/showthread.php?t=9060
The mirrors worked great and I am really happy with the visibility. I had no problem seeing cars to the side or behind me. Kinda pooped after the ride though.

Well hell if they're free I'll take 2! :BAHA: kidding.. I am intrested though can you give me a little more info on them... like what's the hight and with from the mounting base to the outside edge of the mirror... I'm sure they'll reach out farther than my stock ones... but I don't want them looking like freak'n wings!

I do but its at home on my computer. I can upload it tonight when I get back into town. Its a piece of sheet metal and we bent to roughly a 45 degree angle. It still needs to have braces welded in because the mirrors move around a little bit at high speeds.

Different but good.

What did you do with the stock holes in the fairing where you USE to have blinkers?

I have an aftermarket flaring that the sides and front are all one piece. the bottom of the flaring unscrews and drops down to get to the motor. There are no turn signal holes in it.

I here is a pic of the bracket.

Like I said it still needs to be finished but it will look roughly like this.
