thanks for all your comments so far guys...i still have to wax it and clean it up but i dont even have my license yet so that can wait a little bit cause i know once i get her all cleaned up im gonna wana ride and thatd be the thing to do...

i know its a big bike but the gsxr 600s and the cbr 600s ive gotten on all felt small since im kinda tall at 6'6'' and this cbr fits me like a glove...sorta kinda...but well see

also i wanted to ask you guys how do you wash your bikes? i mean with the engine all out in the open do you just wash em like a car or something different?

thanks

I wash mine just like a car. Hose her down and scrub. I have exposed K&N air filters so I cover them w/ a plastic bag. I also use an air compressor to blow away excess water when Im done.

OOOH! LOVE the bike! I had a 98' 900RR in yellow when they first came out. Man do I miss that bike. The one and only time that I almost killed myself on a bike. She was so pretty..

Good deal! I love the burnt orange color. Take care with her, even tho it is a 98' they have huevos! Not the best first bike. Please take care!

All I ever say is ride and be careful. My first bike at 18 was a vf1100. Never dropped it. Best part with your bike is you can always get a 500 out of a 900 but when your readdy you will never get a 900 out of a 500. Just get to know your bike and ride with your head, you will be fine.
