Puig windshields... for 02 CBR600 F4i...really black?

Hello all,
I recently purchased a 2002 CBR600 F4i and would like to replace the stock clear windshield with a solid gloss black windshield. I have looked at several aftermarket companies(ex. Sportech, Memphis Shades) and none of them give a very good description of the height/shape compared to stock. I am looking for a SOLID black(not smoked) windshield that is virtually identical to the height/shape of the stock clear windshield. Can anyone offer any suggestions on somewhere I may be able to find the info that I am searching for?

Thanks much!

-John

Lets start off right!!!!
Have you tried "Zero Gravity" I am not sure but I think mine is and it is the one your after. Totally black not transparent at all. I love the look of it.
Anyhow get a gallery set up and post some pics of your ride. and Hope to see you stick around. Lot to share here at DTW.

Thanks for the warm welcome Earlzach! I am leaning toward the Zero Gravity shield as they seem to be the most specific with their specs. stating the SC is supposed to be exact/similar to the stock shield. The only thing I didn't like(I called them this afternoon) is that they stated the dark tint shield is more of a grayish black color vs. completely black in color. Would you agree with this or do you feel yours is as black as a person could want?? Also, does it have a gloss finish or matte/flat finish?

Thanks!

Mine is solid black so be sure when you order they arent offering a smoked or anything transparent at all. I said I think mine is Zero Gravity not sure. Some windshield makers only make the solid black for some models. You might look into PowerBronze Windscreen, and lockhardt Phillips. They too make em' in solid black.

I had a similiar problem when I was looking for my shield. I have the 01 F4i silver/black & I bought the black chrome made by sportech and love it, maybe that's an option if you can't find a solid black one. Another option is to just spay paint the clear sheild Black as well.

what color is your bike?

Puig windshields... Is black really black?

Hello,
I am looking to purchase a new windscreen for my bike(02 CBR600 F4i) but want a NON-TRANSPARENT/GLOSS BLACK windscreen. What I would like to confirm before I order is that the Puig windscreen that is listed as black in color is indeed BLACK and not dark tinted/slightly transparent.

Thanks,
-John

Merged these threads...sense they are about the SAME thing. Just altered the title a bit....

I thought you were looking for a really dark black transparent speedscreen.... but now it seems like you aren't.

I can't help you on whether or not they are transparent or not.

I know there is a brand out there that is non-transparent... they come in chrome colors and are sprayed flat black on the back side of them...

I think what your looking for is the Black Chrome.

You have to be a supporting member to be able to attach pics to threads. The other options is to up load the pic in the gallery and link it to the thread. Use the Insert Image button (yellow box with mountains) in the tool bar to insert url link to pic.

My Z1000 is just like the FZ1 with the screen, i got mine from Puig and its great, but taller then stock since the Z's is only for looks stock.

Wouldnt advise to go solid on a bike u wanna look thorugh it, i lovem ine being taller i can actually tuck under it for high speed runs... and u cant do that if u cant see thorugh it
