here's a serious note for all parents, new and veteran:

do you all have life insurance on you and your SO? i do, and recently became aware that my husband did not. he had only $10,000 through his work. mind you, we still owe on our house, his harley, his truck, his credit card debt. if he passed away i would hafta file bankruptcy! me and the kids would be left with nowhere to live and insurmountable debt. thank god i have gotten lucky the 8 years we have been married and nothing has happened to him. but this was a real eye opener! his excuse was that he couldn't afford it, but he can afford a harley?! i now have a $100,000 term life policy on him and i. that still isn't enough to clear all his debt, but i can sell the toys to cover the difference.

so the moral is: if you love your family, insure yourself! i know sometimes couples don't discuss this kinda stuff. for your sakes, i hope you do. and it couldn't hurt to take some on these new babies either, in case tragedy strikes there.

hope i didn't bring everyone down now. happy fathers day to all the new (and not so new) dads!

I hear you and your are correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Life insurance is the best way to tell the one you love how much you care.

My Wife and I bought each $100,000 terms and after 5 years Was in a position to up them to whole. I was able to get an afforable rate as a 'NON" smoker finnaly. 18 months and still havent lit up.
Boy do I miss it sometimes though.

Went /going through it. Yeah he has or had Colic. We think we are on the outs with it though he has been just awesome for a couple weeks. Only a few real short epesodes and not even really sure it was colic. (Fingers crossed) He has been sleeping 8.5 hours at night.
