Word of the Day

I shall from henceforth post a word of the day which shall be either humorous, strange, or one I just stumble across when I am lazy and don't feel like posting one. I also allow myself sick days, vacation days, and days I just don't feel like getting on the internet. I am not real strict with myself. The good folks at American Heritage® Dictionary shall provide the definitions. Your mission is to use it in a sentence in a real life conversation to make people wonder about where that word came from. Pronunciation is wav files, just click the word.

Yes, thanks for the idea. Now it will give me something else to waste endless amounts of time without being on the internet. I can use my dictionary here. Good for keeping the internet usage down.

Definately. It was a team job IMO. You had the word, I asked what it meant and Vol gave me the definition and gave him the idea to create this thread. Good job guys.
