Help your TWF with Alexa

Alright guys and gals.

ATTENTION all

As you all know TWF is free for all to enjoy. We also know that we all enjoy it so much. Now sure you can be a supporting member but that costs money to you.

But what if you could help TWF and it didn't cost you anything?

Would you do it?

Its easy...

Just install the Alexa Toolbar

Alexa is a ranking system used by many advertisors. The more people use Alexa the higher TWF gets on the pecking order. Allow me to be more clear. Once you install it that's all you have to do. It will run in the background and everytime you go to TWF we get a "pip" for it. Your computer tells Alexa that you surf TWF and that's it. All you really need to do is install it. It will do the rest.

What ya think?

I would download the toolbar, except I dont like ANYTHING that is a background app, it slows this machine down more than it already is. I'd prefer to be a supporting member. just gotta come up with the money.

If one little TSR is slowing your computer down... get a better computer.

Yes, granted it may keep track of where you surf but that's how it works.

The Alexa rating is very important to our supporting vendors and advertisers. Its something they ask about.

I run it on both my new desktop and my 6 year old laptop and don't notice any process speed problems.

It's like Nielsen ratings to advertisers, if that helps.

FYI - most anti-spyware programs will erase or disable Alexa Toolbar and anything related to it. I tried it here at work and it was a serious NO GO on 3 systems.
Caught by SpyBot, Symantec Threat detection and (surprisingly) Windows Defender/AntiSpyware. I know that other anti-spyware programs do about the same thing with Alexa.
Sorry for the bad news. Google 'Alexa Toolbar' and you get all the good and the bad.

Mcaffe found it, but you can say "trust this PUP" and it will ignore it in the future. Unfortunately our proxy server prevents downloading anything executable.. I can't install it at work either.
