This weekend, the Dew Action Sports Tour is in town. They feature BMX, freestyle motorcycle motocross, and skateboarding. On Thursday, I was riding up Lookout mountain and saw movie-making equipment alongside the road. They were filming these custom, racing tricycles coming down the hill. The seat was about one-inch off the ground. I wish I had my camera.
They wore full-face helmets and one-piece leathers. They were coming down the first steep set of switchbacks. Besides the curves, the best part of going up Lookout Mountain is using wide open throttle on the steep sections. It also makes bicycles faster than most cars when they go downhill. I now wish I could have noticed what kind of tires the trikes had, as they looked like they were going pretty fast. Maybe my CBR got on tape.
