Stunt Junkies on Discovery Channel

Anyone watch "Fastest Nose Wheelie" on Discovery tonight? A stunter wants to do the fastest stoppie at 135MPH. The record is 98MPH. He has to pick out the bike, get the suspension stiffened (at Race Tech), break in new tires, stretch out, and practice at an airport runway. Half-hour show is repeated Aug. 31 at 2am (Eastern), and Sept 1 at 7pm and 11pm (Eastern).

Just because you cant do it, does not mean that it is gay. It takes a lot of skill and hard work to be able to do a stoppie, let alone at 135mph. I think it is an amazing feat and congratulate him on breaking the record. Seems like we have alot of haters in this forum.

bummer, i missed that episode. I've seen some good high speed stoppies at the track. especially the 250 GP in AMA. fun to watch the rear ends lift while breaking into the turns.

I too love seeing the tail come up. Ive seen a couple of the 600 class do it too. Last time, it was Jason Disalvo going deep into braking and jis rear tire lifted. I love it.

I heard about it but don't have cable. I've heard rumors that it's a guy from Vegas that I went to high school with. Anyone know the guy's name for confirmation?

It's like painting a window. It only takes me 15 minutes to paint the frame, but it took me hours to scrape, sand, caulk, glaze, and wash. The preparation is the important part. Same with this guy attempting a record.

As freaky as the guy looked with his piercings, he was an athlete. Did you see him stretch before getting on the bike? The techie from Race Tech taking apart and explaining the fork was interesting to me. The guy's mother worked at the ER, and was hoping not to see her son there after the record attempt. And the guy explaining all the things that could go wrong was enlightening. I couldn't care less about stoppies, but I'm going to watch this again on Friday evening.

Actually it is who I thought it was.

Discovery Channel Page

Kane Friesen was a friend of mine in high school here in Vegas, although I haven't seen him in a while. Pretty weird to hear about him being on TV.

I even found Kane's stunting site while I was at it.

evil kenievel was a squid cause he jumped bikes and could have hurt other people.

it's a planned practiced stunt, not some douche in a tshirt and board shorts doing a stoppie down an offramp....

just saw it. i'm not usually a fan of the stunting but he's doing it on a closed, controlled runway, in full gear, hell his mom even watches him do it. its much more planned and professional than your avg squid.

Bikeless for the moment.

No... Evel Kneivel was a f*cking maniac because he jumped a motorcycle that had absolutely no business leaving the ground...
