Bike Deception

Hi All
just a word of warning when buying your new pride and joy

i purchased what i was lead to believe was a CBR600FY 2000 reg from SUPERBIKES a proper main dealer supplying many makes of bikes, i have recently discovered my 600FY is infact a CBR600 FX which is a 1999 model
meaning i had over paid for the bike by £375 the sales manager agreed that the bike had being passed of as FY when traded in to them or possibly bad admin was to blame, however the managering director of the company chain David would rather try to sell me another machine giving me peanuts for mine traded in as an 600FX not a FY as it was sold to me in the first place

he refuses to refund me the difference between the two models claiming their is no difference in the price at the time of purchase which is un true

so the morel of the story is check what year the bike is on the vin number before you look at the reg as above i was sold a 1999 model bike passed off as an 2000 model

if anyone whishes proof of this i would be more then happy to prove the above as gosibl truth their are NO LIES
regards
the man that got caught

Hi All

im from uk southwest region

lets say that over here we have a very odd legal system that tends to favour the perpatrator rather than the victem

why this is know one will ever know i guess its to keep the solicitors and judges in work?

about the little problem i have though i will be making V&J's life hell its just nice to share it with everyone , lets see how their buisness is doing in a couple of months, in the uk bike groups are quite tight ie you tell one biker somthing and then everone knows

saylave i guess

have a good one

Sadly, most of the time over here, the courts favor the criminal over the victim, unless you're a child molester.

I really feel bad for you being screwed like that by them. I hope they get whats coming to them.

I kinda agree... The judicial branch is out of control and the system of checks and balances IS NOT WORKING...

In no means am I trying to be rude, but this is your fault. You need to be more aware of what you are purchasing. Before buying any bike, you gotta do your homework. When I bought my new bike last month, I knew alot more than the salesman that sold me the bike. Once again, I'm not trying to be rude, just my .

but that still doesn't make it right. Still, its only a few hundred and could easily be argued that a 99 could be worth more than a 2000. Count your losses and move on.

fraud is fraud. They misrepresented the bike to you. You should contact a solicitor

i have no clue on brit law, but was it registered and titled as a 1999 or 2000?
or is this when you found out the year was fishy? i would suspect this to be a criminal offense instead of a civil lawsuit. fraud is fraud as the Bee guy said. file complaints to the proper authorities. Don't accept the loss.
