Harley Adds Imprint To Beef Jerky
MILWAUKEE -- Harley-Davidson will soon be selling a new type of fuel, but don't try to put it in your chopper's gas tank.
The motorcycle icon is teaming up with Conagra, one of the nation's largest packaged-foods companies, to sell beef jerky and tap into the growing meat-snack business.
An announcement was made Tuesday at the trade show for the National Association of Convenience Stores in Las Vegas
The thick slices of smoked, lean steak will sell in three ¼ ounce packs for $5.99 at convenience and grocery stores, Harley-Davidson dealerships and truck stops.
Three varieties of jerky -- teriyaki, pepper and original flavor -- will ship starting in January.
